Yoriko Richards Carreon (She/Ella) has lived a majority of her life in Colorado but was born in Chihuahua, Mexico. She has dedicated years to working with non-profits where she has connected individuals to resources through targeted marketing and outreach efforts.

While growing up in an immigrant and low-income household, Yoriko found that there was a lack of resources in the undocumented community, specifically for finding scholarships for college. After overcoming this challenge, she became an Admissions Ambassador at Colorado State University (CSU) where she helped undocumented, underresourced, and first-generation students find paths to higher education.

Recently, Yoriko came from a non-profit called Women’s Wilderness where she helped provide access to the outdoors for girls, women, and non-binary people. In her role she marketed programs to low-income, BIPOC, and immigrant individuals. She created marketing plans to advertise courses and financial aid through tabling at events, strong school partnerships, email marketing, and social media.
