Across our three programs, Invest in Kids serves nearly 14,000 children and families each year. We offer an array of evidence-based programs that provide sustainable, long-term impacts for Colorado families - because we know that healthier families lead to healthier communities.
For over 20 years, Nurse-Family Partnership® (NFP) has been partnering highly trained registered nurses with first-time pregnant people, caregivers, and their babies. This program begins early in pregnancy and lasts until the baby is two years old. Nurses work with families to deliver resources while creating close, trusting relationships as clients prepare to provide a stable, secure home for their new family. NFP runs in 64 counties across Colorado. In the 2024-2025 fiscal year NFP served 4,209 parents and caregivers as well as 3,618 children.
The Incredible Years® (IY) is focused on building the social and emotional well-being of young children through positive teacher-student and parent-student interactions in early education settings. IY focuses on 3 evidence based programs; Teacher Classroom Management, Dinosaur School, and Preschool BASIC Parent Program. During the 2024-2025 fiscal year IY served 312 parents and caregivers as well as 5,313 children.
Child First® (CF) is a two-generation model that works with young children and their families, providing intensive, home-based mental health services. We are working alongside families who have experienced trauma and/or chronic stress, with the goal to promote healing for the family. Within CF, each family works alongside a mental health clinician and family support partner. They work with the families to figure out sources of stress to connect them to helpful resources. In the 2024-2025 program year CF served 235 parents and caregivers as well as 209 children.
